Amal Clooney

Amal Alamuddin Clooney was born in Beirut, Lebanon. She was given the Arabic name'ml-amal, which means "hope". Her family fled Lebanon when she was two at the time of civil war in Lebanon before settling in Gerrards Cross Buckinghamshire. Ramzi Alamuddin received his MBA at the American University of Beirut. Ramzi Alamuddin was a Lebanese Druze that was from Baakline village, a part of the Alam al-Din family in Chouf District. After the civil war ended in 1991 the family returned to Lebanon. Her mother, Baria (nee Miknass), was born to a family of Sunni Muslims in Tripoli in Northern Lebanon,[14][11] and a Palestinian-Jordanian[15] mother. Her title was foreign editor for al-Hayat which is a Saudi-owned paper. She was the founder of the PR company International Communication Experts. This business is part of a bigger firm that is specialized in booking famous people as well as publicity photos and event promotions. Amal has the eldest of 3 children of one half-sister (Tala) as well as two brothers from her father's previous marriage. (18) Amal was a student at Dr Challoner's High School, a girls' grammar school located in Little Chalfont, Buckinghamshire, before attending going to university. Following her graduation of St Hugh's College in Oxford with an Exhibition Grant, as well as the Shrigley Award, she studied at St Hugh's College. She was awarded a Master of Arts in Judiciary (BA) at the age of 2000. The following year she was accepted into New York University School of Law in pursuit of a Master of Laws Degree (LL.M).
