StephanieStephanie Sigman is a Mexican American actress. Her most famous role was Miss Bala (2011), a Mexican crime drama film. Her next roles were Pioneer (2013), Spectre (2015) and Going Under (2016). On television, Sigman starred in Narcos (2015) and S.W.A.T (2017) for the first and second seasons of both series. Sigman was born to an Mexican mom and an American father, Lee Sigman, who is a New York Yankees scout. Through her father, she is the daughter of a U.S. citizen. [2][3][4] The father of her, former baseball player Kenneth Ray Sigman was her mother. Her career began on Mexican television before she made her film debut in Rio de Oro. In 2011 she portrayed the lead role of Laura Guerrero in the Mexican crime-drama film Miss Bala. 6] The Mexican entry in the category of Best Foreign Language Film was selected during the 84th Academy Awards. [7][8] The film did not make it to the final shortlist. For her film performance, Sigman was nominated in 2011 for the Dublin Film Critics Circle Award.
