Selena Gomez

Selena Marie Gomez, born on July 22, 1992, at Grand Prairie Texas[1,2], is the daughter of Ricardo Joel Gomez, a stage performer from Texas [2,] and Mandy Teefey. Her name came from Tejano artist Selena Quintanilla who passed away in 1995. Her adopted mother has Italian heritage, and her Mexican father was from Mexican heritage. Gomez's grandparents moved from Monterrey to Texas during the 1970s.
