Arianna Huffington

Arianna Stassinopoulos Huffington, a Greek American businesswoman and syndicated journalist, is also an author. She co-founded The Huffington Post, is the chief executive officer and co-founder of Thrive Global as well an author of fifteen novels. Arianna Huffington is a journalist TV personality, philanthropist, and TV host and also the proprietor and editor of The Huffington Post. Following her move into England from Greece when she was 16 She earned an MA with Economics from Cambridge University. Being the first non-English-speaking student to graduate, she was elected president of The Cambridge Union' at the age of 21. After after her college graduation, she was a prominent right-wing syndicated reporter. In the years after that she launched The Huffington Post which featured critiques of the current politics. The fame of her name helped in getting several high-profile contributors to publish their thoughts about news from the world of politics and culture. Arianna was famous when she made the decision in 2003 to stand as an independent Candidate for the California Recall Election in order to succeed former Governor Davis. Also, she was the head of an Detroit automobile project that was fuel efficient. In 2009 she was recognized by Forbes as the most influential women in the media, achieving 12th position on their list. The same year, the Guardian listed her on the top 100 list of media. AOL Inc. bought The Huffington Post, and she was made president of this media group. It included a variety of AOL properties at the time such as Engadget AOL style list and Patch Media. Her parents were journalist and management consultant Konstantinos along with his partner Elli Stasinopoulos. Though she shared a close relationship with both of her parents but it was their connection which shaped her. She displayed leadership qualities even in her early years. at the age of 16 she relocated back to United Kingdom to pursue her studies and enrolled in Girton College Cambridge. When she was in college she was a member of the Cambridge Union's debate societies in the college and eventually was its first female and foreign president. In 1972, she earned the degree of Master in Economics. She worked as a critic as well as a host on TV as well as a columnist following her graduation. Additionally, she starred with Bernard Levin in an episode of Face the music and started writing books using the editorial services of Bernard Levin.
