Laura Linney

Laura Linney is an American actress whose name has gained acclaim for her performance of powerful, yet vulnerable characters. Linney was raised in a family of actors her father was a playwright and writer Romulus Linney. She graduated in 1986 from Brown University in 1986 and then went on to study at the Arts Theatre School in Moscow before graduating from the Juilliard School (M.F.A.) New York City, 1990. Her first appearance was in shows on Broadway before receiving acclaim for her performance of Six Degrees of Separation and Hedda Gabler.
